About me.
i’m a designer, photographer, strategist… i’m a creative.
i’m a designer, photographer, strategist… i’m a creative.
I’ve got lots of theories…
Identify problems, create a strategy, and focus on the details to create something unique and innovative. Even if you don’t recognize it at first glance, it’s that special something that sets you apart from everyone else.
…it’s the magic.
My creative background has proven to be advantageous in my brand development and marketing strategy. I strive to create something unique and innovative for the brand. Even if you don’t recognize it at first glance, I look for that special something that sets it apart from the competition.
Without analytics a marketing strategy is just somebody’s best guess. The tools that are available help reduce cost and pinpoint targets like never before. You must be good at this if you intend to have a great brand.
On the surface your brand encompasses color, space, shape, and typography. Great marketers have that special skill to look at the full landscape and translate that into smart visual and written communications. I see the small details and trends, others do not.
My previous boss referred to me as “Shadow IT”. This stems from my background in network administration and web development. I quickly found that my knowledge of the company’s systems was quite helpful in bridging the gap between the marketing and IT departments. It’s much easier to communicate needs if you understand the lingo.

I grew up in southwestern Kansas, in the town of Hutchinson. I then moved to Lawrence, Kansas at age 19 and developed a love for good beer (I waited two years of course) and KU Basketball. Since then I have been working in and around the Kansas City area. My beautiful wife Alex and a new son Tyler keep me busy, but we enjoy attending Sporting KC games and try to make at least one road game each season.
I serve on the board of KC Cause, a not-for-profit that raises funds for local charities and provides awareness for those charities in our community. The largest portion of our fundraising comes from The Village West WineFest. Our board of seven work to facilitate the planning and execution of this event, and we are currently going on our 8th year. I am humbled to serve and help these charities that make our community so strong.
